Lucinda Martinez
Biography:
Lucinda Martinez born in Lakeport, CA, has lived in Planada almost all her like, attended Planada Elementary School, graduated from Le Grand High School and attended Merced College. She has been in the educational system for over 30 years starting from teacher’s aide in elementary and high school. She has been involved in coaching softball and volleyball at the high school level, an elementary school board member, and a Merced Hispanic Chamber of Commerce member. In addition, she is a member of the Career Paraprofessional Registry and the California Association of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (CAROCP). She, like her mother, has always been very active in the community and involved with children. Being employed at Le Grand High School for over 25 years has given her the pleasure and opportunity of working with students from her community. She has been a Career Tech. and Career in Education instructor for 4 years. She loves spending time wit her children, grandchildren and the students at Le Grand High School.

Being in a position where children and high school students can be helped in any thing that they might need. To be able to encourage and assist them to make their lives better, so that they could feel good about themselves, successful and reach their goals. Maybe they in turn could help others.
