Community college offer a number of options to students. In addition, tuition at community college are fairly cheap, and anyone that graduates high school is eligible for admission. Also, it can be used as a transition between high school and a 4-year college for student that want improve their academic skills. |
Program choices include the following:
- Certificate Programs allow students to gain career-technical training in their area of interest. These programs usually take 6-18 months to complete.
- Transfer Programs provide the students to complete lower division requirements for a 4-year university. A transfer program allows a student to get a Bachelor degree by complete two years of coursework at a community college, and then transfer to a university where they complete an additional two years of course work.
- Associate Degree Programs allow students to receive a 2-year degree in their area of interest.
