Most military occupations are comparable to one or more civilian occupations, therefore; the military can be a good place to start a career. It can provide training, educational opportunities, and job security.

However, joining the military is not the same as getting a civilian job. By join the military you are make a commitment to serve for a certain amount of time. You cannot just decide one day that you no longer what to be in the military.

For this reason it is very important take the time to research, research, research. Know what your getting yourself into before you get into it. Talk with recruiters, but also look-up information on your own.
